The UPEIFA members met for a Negotiations General Meeting on Friday, October 28 (2:00p-4:00p) and unanimously passed the following motions: Motion of strong support and confidence in the UPEIFA Executive Committee and Bargaining Team Motion of strong support for/approval of our new set of priorities Motion indicating that the membership is willing to take all legal and necessary steps to support the bargaining team in achieving these priorities 

UPEIFA Members Concerned About Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Association Proposals Would Advance Efforts to Make UPEI An Equitable Workplace  In response to concerns expressed by FA members in consultations throughout Fall 2021 and Winter 2022, the UPEI Faculty Association has assembled a package of proposals that directly address a range of collective agreement issues related to these concerns, and to the University’s strategic priorities of equity, diversity, and inclusion.   Principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion

We are UPEI UPEI Faculty Association members are teachers, researchers, nurses, emergency vets, and librarians. We take pride in our work, and we are committed to teaching and research excellence. We work hard to provide the best possible post-secondary experience for our students. The work of UPEI is the work we do every day. It leaves us all fighting for Administrative support, it creates inequities and leaves departments underfunded.”-FA Member During our consultation meetings and in the bargaining survey distributed last fall, many of our colleagues expressed concern that UPEI’s academic staff are increasingly marginalized from important academic decisions that impact our university. These include concerns that: Decisions are now almost
