Promote academic freedom and to advance teaching, scholarship, research and service in the University
Regulate
relations
between the employer and academic staff
Bargain collectively on behalf of members on all matters pertaining to their terms and conditions of employment
Provide a common field for mutual exchange of ideas between the Association and the broader University community, as well as the general public
Promote and support the principles of equity in the broadest sense within the Association and the broader University community
Promote the joint interests of the Association and affiliated associations, including the
Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) and the National Union of the
Canadian Association of University Teachers (NUCAUT)
